About PRS
Founded on experience, built on relationships
PRS was founded by Karin Armero, CEO, after years as a healthcare consultant manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers, executive positions in other billing services, and senior management positions with large multi-specialty groups.
Her vision was a billing service that goes beyond simply entering data and submitting claims. We analyze your claims, look at how efficiently your data is gathered, help you decide on new services, and give feedback on how your services are translated into codes. These are not add-on products. They are part of our service and of our commitment to long-term relationships with our clients.
We are also active in the local physician community. We know the issues physicians in this area care about, and we like to stay in touch.

Why outsource
The hidden risks of billing in-house
In-house billing risks are real, often hidden, and can be costly and hard to reverse. Here is how PRS compares.
Billing in-house
- Data loss from hardware failure or missed backups.
- Data-entry errors, with no second check before claims go out.
- Billing stops when one key person is on vacation, sick, or leaves.
- A 2 to 4 week learning curve, and slower cash flow, with every staff change.
- Staffing, software, hardware and update costs, plus dependence on a software vendor.
- Fixed overhead you pay even when cash flow is slow.
With PRS
- Every claim goes through modern scrubbing and eligibility tools, and is checked by our staff before it goes out.
- A whole team handles your billing, so nothing stops when someone is out.
- Our staff call insurers directly, which helps us spot denial patterns and systemic non-payment.
- U.S.-based, in-house staff. We do not outsource. Bilingual staff are available for Spanish-speaking patients.
- A dedicated account executive who knows your practice.
- No staffing, computer or software costs, and one fee proportionate to your revenue.
- Daily and monthly reports and monthly meetings, so you stay in control of your receivables.
